Licensing
Licensing of intellectual property is one means of generating revenue from intellectual property. A good strategy may include licensing as one portion of the strategic growth of the client’s business. At RM IP Law, we work with our clients to ensure they have the best possible licensing agreement.
An IP license can be a stand-alone agreement between the Licensor and the Licensee or it may be one of many clauses in a business contract. Of note, almost every contract with the US government includes direct intellectual property license clauses or indirect clauses in the form of a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or one of various agency supplements.
